I’ve been trying to get better about believing in myself. There are lots of areas in my life where I feel like I have it (mostly) figured out–my day job, for instance. I excel at that no problem. But this sort of stuff, the writing stuff, the stuff I care about more and that I want to be my defining quality: that stuff is harder to trust myself with.

So, believing in myself. Trusting myself to take the right steps and make the right progress to transform my life. I even did the math the other day, thanks to Jen Sincero’s You Are a Badass At Making Money. To live the life I want, I need to make $300,000 from writing and teaching writing. And that is terrifying!

But other people do that. So why can’t I?

How are you choosing to believe in yourself today?

Love and gratitude, friends.

I am trying to post something every day reflecting on creativity, what’s inspiring me now and what’s inspired me in the past, what I’m working on. Think of this is a public writing journal, made public only in an attempt to make myself more accountable.
