What does success look like to you?

I’ve had to really re-think success lately, especially when it comes to this blog. At this point, I’ve published a blog post every day for over 30 days. And I don’t know that I have much to show for it. There are a couple people who consistently like my posts (thank you so much, by the way, it means a lot to me), but I haven’t really seen any growth. I haven’t picked up new subscribers here, or two my newsletter, or my Patreon. I’m just sort of tossing things into the void. So why am I doing it?

For whatever reason, I kind of like it. I think it helps my brain to sort of dump these little posts out as a way to gear up for more focused work. And maybe a journal would achieve the same purpose, but I can’t help but think that there might be some benefit to having this record of my thoughts more public. I don’t know. And maybe I don’t really care.

Today, success looks like posting to this blog every day just because I enjoy it. What about you?

Much love and gratitude.

I am trying to post something every day reflecting on creativity, what’s inspiring me now and what’s inspired me in the past, what I’m working on. Think of this is a public writing journal, made public only in an attempt to make myself more accountable.
