My list of favorite books is constantly evolving, so here’s my top three as of this moment–

• Half His Age by Jennette McCurdy. I read this one quite recently, and it sincerely blew me up. Jennette McCurdy is an excellent writer.
• I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman, translated by Roe Schwartz. I think I’m late to the party on this one? It’s really excellent reflective sci-fi, and the translation is great.
• Off With Their Heads by Zoe Hana Mikuta. This one is branded as young adult, but it’s quite mature and weird for that audience. Honestly, it’s weird for any audience! It’s a very strange book that I still feel conflicted about, but I think about it enough that it seems fair to call it a favorite.
