Today, I started re-reading Off With Their Heads by Zoe Hana Mikuta.

I read this book last year when I was on a committee at work to identify the best young adult books of 2024. While this book claims to be young adult, I think it would probably be a little advanced for high schoolers just because this book is so weird. I’m not sure I totally understood everything going on with it the first time, so I’m giving it a re-read to see if it makes more sense this time. It’s certainly a cool, well-written book. It’s just got a lot going on.
