Today, I read some of Frank Herbert’s Dune: Messiah.

This is the sequel to Dune, which took me a very long time to read, but was delightful. These are truly weird books. Hilariously, I rewatched the first Dune movie and still felt like I didn’t quite understand what was happening, even though I’d read the book. It’s kind of just an impossible piece of media to adapt. I debated watching Dune: Part 2, since I imagine it won’t actually spoil anything for me due to the films being incomprehensible, but I’m holding off for now until I finish the book.
