Long time no see! I went a little off the rails, but nothing a prozac prescription can’t fix.

Today, I read some of Dune by Frank Herbert.

I’m having a little trouble getting in to it for some reason? I’m generally a fan of sci-fi, but this feels like it’s starting really slow. I’m thinking if I keep at it, it’ll catch on at some point. My partner read it recently and is sincerely obsessed with it, so I keep thinking it’ll hit any page now. It’s certainly well-written, that’s for sure. I’m hoping that when the book actually gets us to Arrakis, Dune, the desert planet, it’ll pick up a little. I do like how religious it feels, though.
